Experience the thrill of surfing down some of the largest sand dunes on Stockton Beach, an incredible Eco-system stretching from Newcastle, then 32kms north to Anna Bay. All ages are welcome to come along and tackle this fun pass time. Kids under 3yr are FREE! We supply the transport to the sand dunes, the sand boards and will even give you some tips to ensure you get the most out of your sand boarding experience.

Times: Our shuttle buses operated by 4WD TOURS R US are on the beach between 10:30am and 3:30pm each day. They leave approximately every 30 minutes.

4WD Sandboarding & Shipwreck Tour

ShipwreckDiscover the rusting hull of the famous Sygna shipwreck which became beached during the 1974 storm. During it’s maiden voyage to transport coal to Europe, it ran into a massive coastal storm off Newcastle which produced 17m (56ft) swell. Being the only ship not to follow orders and anchor at sea, the storm forced the ship to it’s resting place today.

This adventure includes a 4WD tour to the Sygna Shipwreck as well as sand boarding and 4WD dune driving.

Tin_City_4wd_ToursDiscover the unique collection of squatter-built tin shacks known as TIN CITY, which featured in the 1979 movie Mad Max.

It’s like something you’ve never seen before. During the Great Depression in the 1930’s, squatters built a group of shacks hidden away in the Stockton Sand Dunes. These shacks collectively known as Tin City are still standing today even after being used as an Army base in World War II.

Go where no other vehicle dares to go, visit Tin City, WWII defences & the longest beach on the East Coast of Australia. This adventure includes a 4WD tour to Tin City as well as sand boarding and dune driving.
